I wouldn't return to this office if someone paid me. I arrived ahead of my first scheduled appointment to fill out any necessary paperwork, after being greeted by a very unfriendly receptionist, I was told they didn't have my referral from my GP, after actually looking they managed to locate it. I waited for roughly an hour, when I was told to come in and was pointed down a hall to go see the doctor. Apparently, the assistants see no need to escort a patient into the room. After sitting down with Dr. Winter he seemed to be knowledgeable and was thorough in his exam. I was given prescriptions to have additional testing done, and was told to schedule a second appointment for a diagnosis and treatment. After my initial consultation with Dr. Winter, I had faith that he would be seeing me for my next visit, but no, think again. By my second visit, after waiting nearly 2 hours, I was pawned off on an NP to give me my diagnosis and suggested I should take time off to rest, this would help my migraine symptoms. She did not take the time to review of any of my tests results. I went to the front desk to reluctantly schedule my next appointment with a rude young man who was too busy checking his phone to help me. Needless to say, I requested my records to be transferred, which was another battle. This office is a joke. Not only was I treated like garbage from start to finish, but I was misdiagnosed. This is a take them in & push them out kind of office, with no concern for the patient's well being.

My parents and I have been going to this practice for over 20yrs. I have been going to Dr. Winter for chronic migraines on and off since I was 10yrs old. I went back to him in 2011 after I had an accident which caused several herniated discs in my neck and lower back. The only issue I personally ever had with them was how long the wait was to get into your appt. up till now.
About 1.5yrs ago my father an appt with his neurologist Rudansky. The office screwed up his appt, had him and my mother (who was battling Cancer and was a one legged amputee) wait for over 2hrs then told them that the dr. had to run out for an emergency and that they would need to reschedule.
My father has dementia and is an alcoholic. After my mother passed away this Sept. 2015 my father slipped into a horrible depression and drank more than ever. I brought him into Huntington Hospital in Nov. for detox for 5days. I called for Rudansky to call me back so I could speak to him about my fathers last brain MRI and his mental medical records or to at least speak to the hospital doctor before he was sent to a rehab. He never called me or the hospital. I drove my father to rehab 4hrs away only to be asked to pick him up the following day bc his dementia was too bad for a regular rehab facility.
I brought him back to Huntington only to be told he would be discharged the next day bc the hospital psychologist thought he wasnt "that" bad. I again requested that Rudansky call me bc my father needed the support of his neurologist so the hospital could realize his severity. No call once again.
My father was out of the hospital for about 1.5wks until I brought him to North Shore LIJ in New Hyde Park. During the time he was out of the hospital he went back to drinking, even though he had already detoxed. He was kept at New Hyde Park for 3 days to detox again and hopefully they would have been able to find him a suitable rehab.
While he was in NHP I call Rudansky's office again demanding he call me that it has been over a month and I have not recieved one call from him. The office assistant calls me back telling me that Rudansky will not be calling me bc he would like my father to come in for a re-evaluation. I told her that my father has been in the hospital and is not able to get in for an appt and that a call back is very important. I told her if Rudansky has an issue with speaking to me, I am on my father's Healthcare Proxy and if she would be able to give me a fax # I could send it to her. She just kept saying he wants to see him, not call you.
My father was discharged from NHP hospital and denied from 3 more rehab clinics bc of his dementia. I called Rudansky's office again and told them that I really must speak to Rudansky but of course no call back.
About a wk before Christmas my father called 911 and had an ambulance bring him to Huntington Hospital again due to extreme nervousness confusion and anxiety. The first night there he again forgot how he got there why he was there and when he arrived. (This is part of his dementia) I called Rudansky again leaving a message that my father is back in the hospital (AGAIN) and really need to speak to him regarding his previous MRI and how long he had been diagnosed with the dementia. He once again had his office assistant call me telling me that the doctor wants him to come in for an evaluation. At this point I absolutely lost it on her. My father is in the hospital, how in the world would he be able to get into the doctors office?? I'm asking for him to call either myself or the hospital to explain to them the full severity of my father's conditions or give me my fathers records so I can prove to the hospital that his dementia and loss of short term memory wasn't just a alcohol related issue.
I used to praise this practice and recommend both of them to anyone I knew needed a neurologist. I am absolutely disgusted with the lack of respect Rudansky had for one of his long time patients. They have lost their compassion for their paitents, all about $$ now a days...
