great American leather, you don;t get better, watch the video on their website. i received my bag last month so i had awhile to digest it. i got a single section in black bridle leather. i also got that long latch, i forgot the name. it had some getting used too but eventually i found the latch to be very usable and quick. you can get in and out of your bag with one hand. the overall handling of the bag is great. the craftsmanship is top notch. i can wait until this bag starts to break in.
